History of Blue Max Enterprises, Inc.
– Blue Max Saddlebag Chairs
I had been riding motorcycles, mostly Harley’s since I was sixteen. It
was always a hassle,
not being able to strap a lawn chair or put in a saddlebag. So when I was
in my late 30’s,
I started making chairs that would fold up and go into a waterproof
case and strap on the
bike or go into the saddlebags. I wanted a good quality product that was
compact. As my
wife and I would attend rodeos, events, hillclimbs; folks would ask me
where I got them.
So I began building them for friends and even some for cash. The demand
was way more
than I could handle.
So in 2003, we had a professional design, test, and then patent the
saddlebag chair.
I named it Blue Max since that was my CB handle when I was a kid. We then
had a
truckload manufactured. J&P Cycles has been selling them (www.jpcycles.com)
The demand is once again overwhelming so we are manufacturing even more
and taking
this to the next level.
